Our Sponsors and Donors are the reason we can offer our Annual Asthma Camp for children ages 6 – 12 for free! Without our sponsors help, these children would not have the Asthma Camp experience! Asthma Camp is held at the Taylor Family Foundation in Livermore.
So let’s get started!
Taylor Family Foundation – The Taylor Family Foundation’s Mission is to preserve the wellness and enhance the quality of life for children in Northern California living with life-threatening and chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities and youth at-risk through unique therapeutic experiences and support.
Sierra Health Foundation – Sierra Health Foundation is a private philanthropy with a mission to invest in and serve as a catalyst for ideas, partnerships and programs that improve health and quality of life in Northern California.
At Sierra Health Foundation we are committed to improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities in the region through convening, educating and strategic grant making.
At Consolidated Communications, we live and work in the communities we serve and we are committed to being a community partner. The Consolidated Communications Foundation was founded in 1992 by employees and management in our California market and later expanded to our Kansas market.
To date, the California and Kansas chapters of the Foundation have given over $5 million to communities through local non-profits and organizations who are serving those in need and creating more vibrant communities in which to live and work. Our Foundation is funded through the generosity of our current and retired employees, who voluntarily make payroll contributions that are matched by the company.
Tri County’s Banks mission is to improve the financial success and well-being of the communities we serve. The Bank believes the positive differences we make in the lives of our community members will also determine the long-term success of our business. This allows us to view “Service with Solutions” in a whole new light, expanding it beyond the walls of our branches.
Tri Counties Bank is proud to support organizations which strengthen our communities. Through employee volunteer efforts and the donation of resources to countless hundreds of non-profit organizations and local events, we’re pitching in to make sure our community succeeds. The Bank’s Grant/Donation Program is designed to support Community Development organizations as called for by our corporate mission and defined under the Community Reinvestment Act.
UC Davis Health System – Community service is at the heart of UC Davis Health System’s teaching, research and patient care missions. In 2005, the Association of American Medical Colleges honored UC Davis for its variety of programs that specifically address the needs of underserved citizens in the Sacramento region. Staff Offering Services which leverages the resources and expertise of UC Davis Health System staff in the form of volunteer time within the community. Nearly 400 employees donate more than 1,350 hours annually at a variety of community events.
Kiwanis Club of Rancho Murieta – The work of our foundation helps the Kiwanis family of programs change children’s lives— not only in our own community but also in our surrounding community. With the many different events our club sponsors, we raise those funds to help make children’s organizations reach their goals and service their non-profit communities.
Folsom Prison Charity for Children – Folsom Prison is widely know thru Johnny Cash’s song, “Folsom Prison Blues”. But the prison goes way above and beyond what others may think a prison is and or does. Here is a sampling – The staff at the Folsom Prison provide children at Christmas time presents and goodies. But wait – that is the staff! What about the prisoners?
Inmates at Folsom State Prison are giving back in an unusual way – by knitting and crocheting items to donate to charity! Good Day Sacramento went behind prison walls to visit the Hooks & Needles program. Inmates in the program design and craft crocheted and knitted articles (booties, bonnets, beanies, blankets, hand-warmers, etc.) for donation to hospitals, shelters and children’s care facilities. The Folsom Lake Lions Club, which sponsors the group, organizes supply donations and distributes the items to charitable organizations throughout the region. Female inmates at the neighboring Folsom Women’s Facility (FWF) also participate in the program.
I realize this was a 2013 video – the program began in 2011 and now, in 2016 Hooks and Needles, a charitable crocheting and knitting program at Folsom State Prison (FSP), has been honored as the Small Club Project of the Year for all Lions Club projects in California. – Check it out here at the Folsom Telegraph page!
Thank you to all our sponsors – every single one of them have one thing in common. The Children – with that – I am signing off – I leave you with this: The Folsom Cash Art Trail – Check It out!
